How to use Chooch

  1. In computer cys and in your Scan sub-directory
     Chooch-DCS.sh < element > < edge > < target filename >
     target filename basically is your scan file without the .scan file extention.
     For exemple, if you scan file name is Sample1-bla5462527-7564746.scan,
and the scan was recorded at the Se K edge, the command line would be : 

Chooch-DCS.sh Se K Sample1-bla5462527-7564746

     You get a graph.

  2. In the graph, select below and after edge.
         * Press 0 take the line to below edge region and click.
         * Press 0 again, take the line to above edge region and click.
         * Press space bar twice and you get a graph.
           If you are satisfied with the result, press C for continue otherwise,
repeat the above steps until you are satisfied with the output. 
           When you press C, the graph window disappear for a while and appear back.
           You get a final graph with an edge,peak defined.
         * You can save it as .ps file by pressing p or quit by pressing q.
           The following files get created in your directory :
               o filename.dat (original file),
               o filename.efs
               o filename.inf
               o filename.ps
               o filename.raw
