Data Processing Workspace
When the crystal is centered go to the Collect Panel, clicking onCollect. On the screen, the following will appear:

The local contact person will set a directory for your work. Generally, it will be in the following directory: /data_val/User/x6aNNN
where NNN is the number of the project. Do the same in the directory showned in the Collect panel. If you want to creat a new directory under your directory, you just need to type the new directory name after your directory. This will automatically create a new folder under you project directory. The screen shown above may be used for doing rapid screening of the sample. When performing a screening measurement, we advise you begin with 1 second exposure.
Also, pay particular attention to the detector distance and the energy value. If you want to use the distance and the value defined in the Hutch panel, you just select Update and these two values will be automatically changed.
Start Data Collection
Begin a screening (one image)
- Make sure you are on the panel 0 (very right side of the screen)
- Verify all conditions
How to change image directory, files names and Update parameters are the same as before. - Click the button Snap
- The snap image will be showed on the big empty area (left side of Collect Panel)
Collect measurements (multiple images)
- Click on the tab * (that appears on the right side of the screen)
This will automatically increase the Panel number to 1, 2, ... - you will see the screen showing as following:
- Define how many frames you want to screen and other measurement parameters
- When all the informations is set, click button Start
- Measure Process starts, all the image name will be list in the middle of the screen. And the image name with dark background indicates the current image that sofeware is processing.
- Pause/Resume or Stop the process when you need.
Important:
While the system is collecting data, you will see a message written: (collecting) When the process stops, you will see: (inactive) This will appear during the screening and collecting processes.
